This morning at 10 am marked the ending of $100 Day! $100 Day is a 24 hour fundraising event where all of our staff members and Miracle Makers come together to raise $100 dollars in 24 hours. $100 can provide more for a hospital than you would think. A $100 donation can provide basic supplies for open heart surgery, 8 baby-sized stethoscopes, or 6 boxes of preemie diapers for babies in the NICU. This year, we successfully raised $18,664 for the NICU at East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
Tuesday night leading up to the event, the entire staff gathered in the Panhellenic building on campus and prepared for Wednesday's fundraising. Some of us painted the rock, some of us put up flyers around campus, and others painting the banner that hung in our Hype room which served as a place for our team to hang out and take pictures all while watching the numbers go up! We started out earlier Wednesday morning in the panhellenic building and moved in the afternoon to the hospital where we stayed until midnight.
For those of you that donated to VOLthon and helped so many of us reach our goal, thank you so much for your generosity and support. It's with support like yours that so many families are able to watch their babies have the incredible care that they do at East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
We are looking forward to many more fundraising events this year! Thank you again for your support!
